05LA Galaxy’s Future Line-Up and Formation in 2012
Posted By: Terry on January 5, 2012 at 7:35 pmBeckhamGalaxy takes an assessment of LA Galaxy‘s Off-season
transaction and posts up a possible line-up.
Earlier,
BeckhamGalaxy highlighted a possible Transfer Coup for
Ronaldinho and we have taken this into consideration.
Formation for LA Galaxy in MLS Season 2012:
4-2-3-1
R. Keane
M. Magee Ronaldinho L. Donovan
M. Sarvas D. Beckham
T. Dunivant O. Gonzalez S. Franklin A.J DeLaGarza
J. Saunders
Substitutes:
N. Noble (GK), P. Noonan (FW), C. Barrett (FW), P. Cardozo (MF),
C. Birchall (MF), F. Hejduk (DF), D. Leonardo (DF)
But of course, the above is just a LA Galaxy Fantasy Line-Up. There is
a still a possibility of a Fourth Designated Player to be included into the
LA Galaxy team roster.
Frank Lampard, Chelsea midfielder, has been linked with a possible move
to LA Galaxy. David Beckham, long-time England team-mate with Frank
Lampard, has reportedly been discussing with a possible move to LA Galaxy
in a move to further booster the star status of the American club.
BeckhamGalaxy has another look at LA Galaxy’s line-up with Frank Lampard
in it, with the formation 4-3-3.
R. Keane
Ronaldinho L. Donovan
M. Sarvas D. Beckham F. Lampard
T. Dunivant O. Gonzalez S. Franklin A.J DeLaGarza
J. Saunders
M. Sarvas is more of a attacking midfielder who likes to make forward runs.
Lampard is also more suitable to feature on the right-side with more space
for him to make runs to the box. He is also a midfielder who can score lots of goals
and he can work with Beckham, who will operate much more defensively as a
holding midfielder.
Fans are already drooling with the possibility and Frank Lampard and Ronaldinho
offers a lot of exciting opportunities and prospects to the LA Galaxy line-up.
Check in on Angel City Brigade’s forum and you will find a lot of rave reviews
of the inclusion of Ronaldinho and Lampard. The fans of LA Galaxy are loving it.
Factors weighing in Lampard Move?

Frank Lampard Looking to LA Galaxy?
Villas-Boas and Lampard Row
Chelsea manager André Villas-Boas and Frank Lampard are not in speaking terms,
according to the player’s own admission. In most cases of manager-player row,
it often ends with either the player or the manager leaving the club. Lampard
has often been warming the bench for Chelsea, even though he has saved the
club a few brushes from embarrassment with his second-half goals off the bench.
Villas-Boas has yet to explain why Frank Lampard is being benched, in spite of
him being one of the more consistent players for Chelsea.
The England Contingent at LA Galaxy
Besides the superstar David Beckham being English, there are other English
players like Chris Birchall, who plays for Trinidad and Tobago. If Frank joins
LA Galaxy, he will feel very much at home. The only difference is simply getting
used to the American English.
The Adoration of LA Galaxy fans
The fans are already loving the possibility of Frank Lampard in the squad. This
spells well in Frank Lampard’s transfer to LA Galaxy, with match attendance at
Home Depot Center set to increase with the increase of star players in the squad.
Frank Lampard turns 32 this year in 2012, however, like Beckham, he still has
much to offer and is very much near to the peak of his career. Check out his
goals for Chelsea.
Possibility of Move: 5/10
Lampard has reiterated his love for the club, Chelsea and the 11 years he has spent
there since he first joined from West Ham United as a young and raw player. It is
at Chelsea that his talent as a prolific scoring midfielder is unearthed and former
Chelsea colleague, Michael Ballack has rated Lampard as “one of the best players
in the world”.
BeckhamGalaxy gives the move a thumbs-up and will gladly welcome Frank Lampard
to embark on the MLS adventure and help LA Galaxy cement its place “among the stars”.
And indeed, why not?

04BeckhamGalaxy Scouts the LA Galaxy’s Beckham Deal
Posted By: Terry on January 4, 2012 at 6:20 pmIt is now revealed that David Beckham has rejected signing the contract
with PSG, the Parisian club that has been courting for his signature feverishly
for the past few months. BeckhamGalaxy has long projected that Beckham will
be staying with LA Galaxy, click here to view the factors of Beckham’s Decision.
Beckham, as of 01 Janaury 2012, is now considered a free agent, with
LA Galaxy being tipped in the foremost seat to sign with him. This is definitely
great news for LA Galaxy club and fans alike. Juninho has left for Sao Paulo,
at least the LA Galaxy midfield that has aided the club to go on the winning
conquest to the MLS Cup last season, will have Beckham in it.
Have a closer look at BeckhamGalaxy’s Beckham-Sarvas Partnership.
It is not a done deal yet
According to some reports from the media, Beckham is tipped to sign a
two-year contract deal with LA Galaxy. It is not certain yet but Galaxy
president Leiweke has been on the phone with the Beckham’s representative
all day.
The City Hall Parade in Paris has been scheduled, should David Beckham decide
to become a PSG player. French newspapers blasted the headlines that Beckham
has said “Yes” to the deal with PSG, but the spokesperson for Beckham has strongly
denied any form of agreement with PSG.
The French papers called the Beckham deal to be 95 percent done. It looks like
they didn’t anticipate the 5 percent, which is equally important.
As of now, David Beckham, his wife Victoria and their four children had spent
the Christmas and New Year in London. There is no doubt that Beckham will be
considering the offer put up by LA Galaxy and Beckham has weighed in his family
behind his signature on any contract offer. The good news to LA Galaxy is that
Victoria and the four Beckham children are well-settled in LA and Beckham has
decided not to uproot the family from the place where they have spent 5 years
together as a family.
According to Leiweke, there are other clubs that are also pursuing for Beckham’s
signature.
BeckhamGalaxy is suspecting that the clubs to be Tottenham Hotspurs and
Queen Park Rangers. The Chinese premier club Shanghai Shenhua could be
eyeing on the star power of David Beckham, and his appeal to the 1 billion fans
in China.
Factors favoring LA Galaxy as favorites
1. LA Galaxy will release Beckham for British Olympics
Another factor that will tip in LA Galaxy’s favor is that LA Galaxy has declared that
they will definitely release Beckham for the British Olympic games and to allow him
to play for the Great Britain football team. LA Galaxy coach Bruce Arena has given
“Thumbs Up”.
2. Beckham still has a role to play in America
Beckham has definitely brought up the star power of soccer in America. It may not
be as big as the sports powerhouses of Basketball and American Football, but it
is slowly and surely gaining more soccer fans. It helps that LA Galaxy is in the land
of Hollywood, and complements with the star power of David Beckham. After Beckham,
star players like Thierry Henry has followed suit to add to the glitz and glamor of soccer
sports in America.
3. Beckham and his family in LA
David and Victoria, with their four children are very much settled in LA and it will
take much more to uproot the entire family from LA. That is the important 5 percent
that PSG did not factor in. Add in the Beckham couple’s close friends like Tom Cruise
and his wife, Katie Holmes, the Beckham family are very much settled in LA and
America. Victoria can continue to work her fashion label in LA, and she can work closely
with the many Hollywood stars who are donning her dresses.

Beckham with Three Stars
It is no longer a speculation. It is more of a question of “When” Beckham will ink the deal
with LA Galaxy. And BeckhamGalaxy is standing behind AEG President, Tim Leiweke’s
words,
“I’ll repeat what I said in November:
I believe David Beckham will play for the LA Galaxy this year.”

27Beckham Galaxy looks at Next DP for LA Galaxy: Ronaldinho?
Posted By: Terry on December 27, 2011 at 9:00 amMay I present the famous Sambal (buck-toothed) footballer,
Ronaldo de Assis Moreira, aka Ronaldinho.
If you have any doubts on Ronaldinho’s skills and technique as a footballer,
check this video out.
For most professsional footballers, the test of long-shot accuracy
is to aim for the cross-bar of the goal post. If your jaw did not drop
after watching this, then just to let you know, mine did. :0
Ronaldinho warms up with juggling the ball, followed by the volley
with the aim of the cross-bar. That was almost the ULTIMATE display
of ball control and technique.
How does this measure up with other players on the professional stage.
Compare with the following video. They are also David Beckham’s
I am not going to mention the names of the club and players in the video, cos
every football fan should know. And I will like to stress that this is no comparison
between players or clubs. I am just trying to show the difficulty of long-shot
accuracy. Any team with Ronaldinho in it can be assured of a DEADLY
dead-ball specialist. And of course, none of the players in the above video are
known for their dead-ball skills but they are well-known for other roles they
play on the pitch for their club. (Please, no hating =)
Ronaldinho has something that excludes him from most footballers, and that
is CREATIVITY.
Ronaldinho is able to see in his mind all the plays to set up for the offense. And
that is what makes him a great asset for the team. He is a great playmaker,
and he will figure nicely on the left side of midfield for LA Galaxy. That is his
most favored role, and he is also able to operate as an attacking midfielder.
Though he has often drifted from the left to cut in quickly to the middle and
make “runs” with the ball. His final passes are amazing, and he also symbolizes
what Sambal football means.
Of course the scandals have also plagued Ronaldinho off the pitch. Ronaldinho has
in the past, known to be a “party-animal” and often frequents with clubs and drinking.
If recent behavior and performances have to say, Ronaldinho has put his scandals
behind him and has put in effort on the pitch where it matters. After missing the World
Cup 2010 and being left out of the national side, Ronaldinho was called up for recent
Brazilian friendlies versus Ghana and Argentina this year.
At the age of 31, Ronaldinho is not yet past his prime and has plenty to offer on the table.
It is also great for the MLS, given Ronaldinho’s worldwide status as a footballer.
Ronaldinho offers the entertainment on the pitch with his attacking edge and glitzy
skills and will most likely draw more fans and crowds to watch soccer matches. This
sounds great commercially for LA Galaxy and MLS. Ronaldinho should be keen in joining
LA Galaxy, as being a designated player, LA Galaxy is able to keep him on their wage
payroll. Recent news reported that Ronaldinho has been owed months of wages at his
current club, Flamengo.

Ronaldinho for LA Galaxy?
But of course, Ronaldinho is not a direct replacement for David Beckham and Juninho,
since he is not effective enough to be assigned any defensive duties. Next up, Beckham
Galaxy presents the solution with Ronaldinho in mind. Of course, it will be great if LA
Galaxy is able to sign Ronaldinho in a bid to persuade Beckham to stay and help LA
Galaxy reach greater heights as a MLS club in America and Worldwide.
That is my wishful thinking on my part. But hey, who says the dreams don’t come true?
Only at BeckhamGalaxy =)

There was a flurry of player-transfer activities going on and BeckhamGalaxy
is diving in to bring the latest on LA Galaxy’s Player Transfer.
First up, I am sad to see Juninho leaving LA Galaxy, leaving a void in central
midfield. Juninho has been loaned by Brazilian club Sao Paulo to LA Galaxy
for the past two seasons and he has been turning out regularly for the first
team. His defensive midfield display has allowed David Beckham and Landon
Donovan to focus on making offensive plays for Galaxy. LA Galaxy fans will
remember Juninho for his wonderful Long-Range Bombs.
Juninho, the Midfield General
Juninho was the protege of David Beckham and his midfield
partnership with Beckham has worked wonders for Galaxy this season.
Judging from the latest tweets, even the LA Galaxy players were reluctant
to see Juninho leave the club.
Sean Franklin’s Twitter: sfranklin5 Juninho’s Twitter: Juninho19LA
sfranklin5: What’s up brooooo!
Juninho19LA: What’s up dude …
sfranklin5: Hope everything is going well in brazil bro
Juninho has officially signed a 3-year deal with Sao Paulo and we, at
BeckhamGalaxy wish Juninho all the best in his future playing endeavors
at Sao Paulo. In response to his imminent departure, Juninho left a parting
message to all the LA Galaxy fans.
Juninho19LA: I want to thank Galaxy and all of my fans for your kindness
and support for the past two years that I was on the team.
Omar Gonzalez eyed by Club America
Defender-of-the-year Omar Gonzalez is reportedly scouted by Club America,
who is closely monitoring the player’s progress.
Should Club America make a move for Gonzalez, it can prove to be tempting
for Gonzalez to turn down as Club America plays in the professional Mexican
league and they are able to offer a much more lucrative contract without
the wage restrictions of the MLS.
Club America has also been looking to shore up their defence and Omar
seemed to be a great addition to their first-team squad. Omar Gonzalez
and defensive partner, AJ DeLaGarza were called up to the US squad in
preparation for International Friendlies with Venezuela and Panama
next year. Gonzalez will be looking to add to his tally of 2 international
caps while DeLaGarza will be looking forward to his first international cap.
There is a current trend of US players moving out of the MLS to prove
themselves on another stage. In fact, the majority of the US National
Team (players with established positions) is made of US exports who plied
their trade in Europe. Should one of the European club call upon Gonzalez,
Gonzalez will find it hard to turn down the opportunity to prove himself
on a bigger stage in Europe.
Gonzalez has featured in all 40 games for the Galaxy this season and
was a dominating presence in defence for Galaxy as the Galaxy ties the
record 17-games shutout and allowing 38 goals in 46 games in all
competition.
Watch how Gonzalez tear Alajuelense (CONCACAF Champions League)
apart with a header from (no-suprise) amazing Beckham corner.
So is David Beckham leaving?
That will be the biggest question at the back of everyone’s mind
as Christmas comes along. Beckham is officially remains a
Galaxy player until 31st Decemeber 2011, and there were reports
that Beckham has already signed the deal with France Lique 1
BeckhamGalaxy managed to pop this question to Galaxy captain,
Landon Donovan. Click to hear his reply here.
After Christmas, the world awaits the official announcement of
David Beckham’s final decision. (Including BeckhamGalaxy.)
There is no greater anticipation than this. Don’t you agree?

After LA Galaxy’s MLS Cup Final Game versus Houston Dynamo, 20th Nov,
French Journalist: “What do you say to PSG Fans waiting for you in Paris?”
David Beckham: “Right now I’m a Galaxy player, that’s all I can say. I’m enjoying myself.”
PSG insiders stated publicly that the “Beckham deal” is 95 percent complete. (12th Dec)
Beckham’s reaction is a flat refusal to commit his future move, and suggested that he will
wait until the New Year before making a final decision.
As to the French papers saying that the Beckham has signed the contract last Wed,
21st Dec,
French paper L’Equipe exclaimed “Le Voila!” (He’s here!)
While Le Parisien stated “Il a dit Oui!” (He said Yes!).
Beckham (through his spokesman):
“No agreement has been reached with any club yet,
talks of a deal are premature, David has yet to make a final decision on his future.”
In reply to this,
LA Galaxy (through the official website):
“…….the MLS Cup-winning Galaxy have consistently said they are fighting to re-sign
Beckham, whose initial five-year contract with the club comes to an end this year.”
According to French sports daily L’Equipe,
PSG plans to give Beckham the regal treatment normally reserved for a foreign politician.
The doors to Paris City Hall will be opened to David Beckham and his family upon their
arrival.
Beckham’s move to Paris has not been entirely welcomed by PSG fans. Some fans
criticized the proposed transfer attempt by PSG as nothing more than a commercial
and marketing decision to promote the club in Asia. Another French Socialist politician,
Jean Marc-Aryault criticized Beckham’s “enormous salary”. If the Socialist party wins
the next Presidential election, they would introduce the “Maximum Salary Cap”.
Beckham remains a LA Galaxy player until 31st Dec, however on 1st Jan 2012,
Beckham will become a free agent and he is available to sign for any club on a
free transfer. Beckham does not ruled out the possibility that he will sign a contract
extension with LA Galaxy.
What do the fans of LA Galaxy have to say to this?

Beckham "Thumbs Up" to re-sign with LA Galaxy?

21BeckhamGalaxy on 2011 Christmas Paparazzi Trail
Posted By: Terry on December 21, 2011 at 5:12 pmThe spokesperson for David Beckham has “spoken” to the press that the talks about
David had already signed the contract with PSG is “premature”. Prior to this,
David has also stated that he will not make a decision until after Christmas and I
do believe that David is a man of his word. BeckhamGalaxy follows up on the report
and is hot on the trail of the Beckhams’s 2011 Christmas Paparazzi Trail.
David was also expected to be revealed in front of the PSG fans in the match against
Lille and the PSG fans were sorely disappointed to see a Beckham ‘No-show’. This
means that PSG was unable to “cash in” on the Christmas sale of Beckham’s PSG
Jerseys. The French Press is also very impatient, making bold (ridiculous) claims
that Beckham has already inked the deal and the headlines “Beckham has signed
with PSG” were typed out without any substantial evidence. Beckham’s
management agency XIX has stressed that David had not made any decision yet.
The Beckham family, David, Victoria, Brooklyn, Romeo, Cruz and the little sis, Harper
were spotted by the paparazzi at the Los Angeles International Airport to spend the
Christmas with their family on Dec 16, 2011. The Beckhams will be returning back
home in London to spend the Christmas with their families.

The Beckhams Spotted at LAX
Upon arrival in London, David and Victoria received Christmas Cooking How-to Guide
from Celebrity Chef, Gordon Ramsay. David and Victoria are close friends with TV
Celebrity Chef Gordon and his wife, Tana and the two families and children have
spent the Christmas Day together for the last few years.
The Cooking How-to guide is a cooking blueprint of how to master every part of the
Christmas lunch and is peppered with his Michelin-star insider tricks of the “kitchen”
trade.
It is noted that the two families are unable to spend Christmas together. Gordon and
David were talking about what they were going to do without him so Gordon drew up
a few pointers for the Beckhams with the aid of his cookbook Cooking How-to Guide.
At this point,
BeckhamGalaxy will like to wish all readers a Merry, Merry Christmas! So that was how
the Beckhams are going to spend Christmas for 2011, how about you?

This is Part 2, in continuation from the previous post
The birthplace of David Beckham is at Leytonstone, London, England.
Born at Whipps Cross University Hospital, on May 2 1975, David
Robert Joseph Beckham was the son of mother, Sandra Georgina, ‘
a hairdresser and father, David Edward Alan “Ted” Beckham, a
kitchen fitter.
It was mentioned in The Young David Beckham that Beckham played
for the Ridgeway Rovers U10 team at the tender age of 8. While playing
for the team, Beckham scored a prolific record of over 100 goals spread
over 3 seasons. The Ridgeway Rovers was founded in 1979, and was
then managed by David’s father, David Beckham Senior (full name:
David Edward Alan “Ted” Beckham).
The Ridgeway Rovers has also named David Beckham as the
Honorary Life President of Ridgeway Rovers FC. In their most recent
away match, on Dec 18, they played against Euro Dagenhem FC
which results in 3 – 0 defeat. Their previous home game was quite
impressive in which Ridgeway Rovers trounce Byron Red Star FC
7 – 0.

Sir Bobby Charlton with David Beckham
As a youth player at Ridgeway Rovers, Beckham had the chance to
attend one of Bobby Charlton’s football academies in Manchester and
won the chance to participate in one of the training sessions of
FC Barcelona. Above, Sir Bobby Charlton congratulating the young
David Beckham for being the final winner of Bobby Charlton TSU
Soccer Finals held at Old Trafford.

Beckham at Ridgeway Rovers
David’s secondary school is Chingford School, and this is where he played
for the school team. A representative from Manchester United came
knocking after David’s 12th birthday and at every summer breaks, he
would travel to Manchester for the football workouts.
Finally on July 1991, on the advice of Bobby Charlton, the Manchester
United Football Club signed 16-year-old David Beckham as an official
trainee.
Throughout his childhood, the young David Beckham has loitered on
the various neighborhood public parks to play soccer. Near Royston
Avenue, is the neigborhood park called Ainslie Park. Ainslie Park is
where David Beckham will visit his grandparents, who stayed at
council flats and David will take this opportunity to play at the
Council park pitches.
It is noted that David played for Chase Lane Junior School
Football team as well as Waltham Forest District and Essex
County teams. Larkswood Park is where David practiced with
his dad, spending countless hours perfecting the technique of
his now-legendary free kicks.

You have known the famous freekick goals scored by Beckham, for LA
Galaxy and his illustrious soccer career.
There was the 70-yard goal scored by Beckham in LA Galaxy Match
versus Kansas City. Relive the moment with this Youtube video.
Rewind back to 17 August 1996.
That is the date of the Spectacular “Wimbledon Goal” scored by
David Beckham as a Manchester United player.
During the match, as Wimbledon was behind by 2 goals and were
pressing forward, Goalkeeper Neil Sullivan became the victim of
Beckham’s Long Shot Prowess. In true Beckham Style, David
saw that Sullivan was a long way out of his goal and attempted
a shot that would sail over the keeper’s reach into Wimbledon’s
net.
Not coincidentally, the British public voted Beckham’s
“Wimbledon Goal” as Number 18 of the 100 Greatest Sporting
Moment. Beckham will go on to build up his reputation as one
of the best midfielder who is also appointed as Captain for
England.
It was later revealed that the boots that Beckham used to score
the Wimbledon Goal was mistakenly given to him. The Adidas
boots was meant for Scottish footballer Charlie Miller and even
had the name “Charlie” embroidered on the front of the boots.
Beckham had no qualms wearing the boot intended for another
footballer, as he had heard positive reviews from other football
players who had worn the Adidas Predator Boots.

Charlie Boots Worn by David Beckham
Adidas has a long-standing relationship with Beckham, making
custom-made boots to suit his personal needs.
Below, Beckham is seen in action, decked out in white Adidas Predator
X with the classic Adidas red stripes. The boots has already seen him
score spectacular long-range goals from all positions, including the
70-yarder, the corner flag or from outside the opposition area.
David Beckham has also run out in the Full Red Adidas Predator X boots,
for both LA Galaxy, AC Milan and England. Unfortunately, Beckham
suffered an injury in the AC Milan Match versus Chievo, causing him
to miss out on the 2010 World Cup.

Beckham in Red-Hot Predator X
Adidas is currently producing a new series called Predator Kinetic,
and several professional players have been trying the Blackout color
version. It is due to be released in May 2012. Beckham has been spotted
in the White-colored version of Predator Kinetic.

SOCCER is not a one-man’s show.
Unlike performance sports like boxing, track and field, swimming, sprinting
and snorkeling, etc……..
SOCCER is a team sport that involves 22 players on the field, 11 on each side.
In simple layman term, a non-soccer fan who watches soccer on TV simply
observe that there are 22 players chasing after 1 single ball on the field.
Of course, Soccer is nothing like that. David Beckham is a great passer of the
game and epitomes the ART of PASSING.
An important element in the game of soccer that will involve all 11 players
on the field is PASSING. BeckhamGalaxy uncovers the ART of PASSING,
the LA Galaxy Way.
PASSING the Ball around the field
For most part of the game of Soccer, players are engaged in the most common
activity of PASSING. To pass the the ball is to distribute the ball around the
field. For example, if the left side of the field is heavily defended by the
opponent, then it is time to distribute the ball to your team mates on the right,
and then to ATTACK on the opponent’s right side.
Learn to build a good understanding with your team mates as well. Observe
if the person has a dominant left-foot or right-foot. Depending on which side,
pass the ball to the person’s favored side. That way, he won’t be too pressured
when receiving the ball and facing the defender at the same time. It will make
you a better team player as well, because as much as you need good technical
skills, you also need to have teamwork skills to show that you can play well
with the rest of the team.
Remember, SOCCER is a team sport, not an individual sport.
PASSING also involves OFF-THE BALL Movement
As a soccer player, you are not only involved in making passes, you are also
moving into space to receive the ball. Or should I say running into space,
so that your teammate who has the possession of the ball, can be able to
pass the ball to you. This requires much tactical awareness within the game,
and is termed as OFF-THE-BALL Movement.
Make intelligent runs to move into the offensive-third so that your teammate
can pass the ball to you and you can dribble the ball to catch the opposing
team “on the backfoot”. Or simply run into shooting positions so your teammate
can “pass” the assist for you to shoot on goal. You can either choose to make the
FIRST TOUCH before you shoot or position your body so that you can shoot the
ball on FIRST TOUCH. Click this link on Beckham Galaxy’s
It is also important to remember that Passing involves not only the PASS,
but also the OFF-THE-BALL movement after that. After passing the ball,
INIITIATE the OFF-THE-BALL movement. Many players are rather
“PASSIVE” in making the PASS and do not take part in the Off-The-Ball
movement. Soccer coaches are not looking for flat-footed and passive
players.
They are looking for ACTIVE, OFF-THE-BALL moving players.
Just remember. PASS and GO. PASS and GO.
PASS the ball and GO into Off-the-ball movement.
Have a closer look at this video demonstrating PASS and GO.
Watch as David BECKHAM makes the Off-the-Ball movement into a shooting position and
scores a wonderful first goal for LA Galaxy in the match vs Philippines Akzals.
Mike MAGEE does the PASS and GO and scores a goal off Landon DONOVAN assist.
